Our Onboarding-Week at Midas
Midas has grown steadily in recent months - 12 new colleagues started in September alone. So it was time again for our Onboarding Rally, where all new employees get the chance to get to know Midas from the ground up.
For the third year in a row, a get-to-know-you theme week was held for our new colleagues to make their start at Midas Pharma as pleasant as possible. This theme week began with a get-together at the Wasem Monastery in Ingelheim, where the new employees and the management were able to get to know each other on a more personal level. Important topics were the introduction of the individual business units as well as the personal interests and hobbies of the participants.
This event had already proved very successful in the last few years, as on the one hand it offers newcomers to the pharmaceutical industry an important and interesting insight into the world of Midas Pharma, but on the other hand it also allows those experienced in the industry to take away valuable information. In addition, as the management of a family business, it is particularly important for the management of Midas Pharma to know its employees personally, which naturally brings new challenges with the increasing number of employees.
After the event, the so-called "Midas Rally" started, in which the new employees were guided through the company's premises over the course of several days using a multi-faceted questionnaire. The aim of the rally was to get to know as much background information, business areas and colleagues as possible as a team and thus to get the answers to the not always easy questions.
The rally was rounded off with an after-work event in the bistro. With cool drinks, tapas and colligial conversations, the newly established contacts of the last week deepened. The highlight of the evening was the award ceremony for the winners of the Midas Rally. Besides vouchers for the Midas Bistro, the prizes included cereal bowls, thermo mugs and notebooks in Midas style.
In addition, each team received a bottle of sparkling wine to toast the team result after work.
This year's onboarding week was once again very well received by the employees and the management, which is why we are already looking forward to next year's "Welcome to Midas!"
