Corona Virus - Impact and current situation

The current situation in China due to the Corona Virus is very challenging, especially for the Chinese population.

Cities like Wuhan (Hubei Province) and Wenzhou (Zhejiang Province) are under quarantine. Cities like Beijing and Shanghai are facing restrictions from the government; offices and stores are closed, people are requested to stay at home.

International airlines like Lufthansa, Delta, American and United stopped their connections to China until end of March 2020.

At this point in time, we cannot exclude that delivery dates of upcoming shipments might be affected.

As of today, the official announcement from the government says that from Monday, February 10, 2020 onwards, offices are allowed to re-open and people can return to work.

The Midas China staff is working via mobile phones and laptops again since beginning of this week they are in frequent contacts with our manufacturing partners who are also working from home. Our manufacturing partners can only judge the real impacts and can only confirm any delivery dates for shipments due during the next weeks once they are back in the offices and facilities.
